TikToker Dr Fazeela Abbasi has secured major relief in the illegal clinic case after approaching the court for bail. The case was heard by Special Judge Central Humayun Dilawar, where the social media personality sought legal protection amid ongoing proceedings.
According to details, Dr Fazeela Abbasi approached the court to seek bail in the case. The court granted the accused interim bail in the illegal clinic case against a surety bond of Rs 50,000, valid until April 15. The court also directed Dr Fazeela Abbasi to cooperate with and join the investigation.
It is worth noting that Dr Fazeela Abbasi is already on bail in a money laundering case. Two cases have been registered against her by the FIA’s Money Laundering Cell and the Anti-Corruption Circle.
In the last hearing, Dr Fazeela Abbasi appeared before the Islamabad High Court along with her lawyer, renowned jurist Naeem Bukhari.
During the hearing, Naeem Bukhari informed the court that his client had appeared before the trial court three times previously. On one occasion, she was unable to appear and submitted a three-day medical certificate, which the trial court rejected instead of accepting.
After hearing the arguments, the Islamabad High Court restored Dr Fazeela Abbasi’s interim bail and directed her to approach the trial court again.
The court issued an order appointing the Registrar’s Office to hear the case and restraining her from arrest instead of bonds. It should be noted that Dr Fazeela Abbasi is wanted by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in a high-profile money laundering case, in which she is accused of transferring large sums of money abroad. After the trial court revoked her bail, she approached the High Court to avoid arrest and has now received temporary relief.
