There is a widespread speculation that the president of the United States (US), Donald Trump, is ‘going to nuke Iran’ today. However, no confirmed reports support the claim; on the contrary, the White House denied that there is any plan to use nuclear weapons on Iran.
Is the US going to nuke Iran?
The White House has denied any notion of using nuclear weapons in the Iran conflict, even after the severe threats made by US President Trump.
However, contrary claims are also being made, making the situation even more tense.

‘A whole civilisation will die tonight’
Before this, President Trump took to the social media platform Truth Social and threatened Iran again.
He said, “A whole civilisation will die tonight, never to be brought back again.”
“I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will,” he added further.
Talking again about the ‘regime change in Iran’, he said, “However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalised minds prevail.”
“Maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?,” the US president added.
Trump once again warned about tonight, “We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World,” he said.
Concluding, he said, “47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!”
To this threat, Esmaeil Baqaei, head of the centre for public diplomacy and spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamic Republic of Iran, responded, “The power of a ‘CIVILIZED’ nation’s culture, logic, and faith in its righteous cause will undoubtedly prevail over the logic of brute force.”
Baqaei further added, “A nation that has every faith in the righteousness of its path shall harness all its capacities and capabilities to safeguard its rights and legitimate interests.”

Donald Trump
Yesterday, during a press conference, Donald Trump talked about the deadline given to Iran again.
He said that ‘Iran can be taken out in one night.’ Claiming further, he said, ‘The night might be tomorrow.’
“We’re here today to celebrate the success of one of the largest, most complex, most harrowing combat searches,” Trump said during the news conference.
When he was asked about the impact of the US targeting civilian infrastructure in Iran, Trump said Iranians would be “willing to suffer to have their freedom”.
Is Iran a nuclear power
As of April 2026, Iran is not officially recognised as a nuclear armed state. However, reports say that it has advanced uranium enrichment capabilities. This places it closer to producing weapons grade material than before.
