The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) announced an electricity suspension schedule for Wednesday, affecting various areas within its jurisdiction due to essential maintenance and routine development activities.
As per an IESCO representative, in the Islamabad Circle, electricity will be unavailable from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm in the following locations: Sukh Chain, F-9 Park, F-10/1, Meezan Bank, HC3 Pims, C-2, Pak Land, F-10 Markaz, F-10, F-10/3, Upper Topa, and Patraita feeders.
In the Attock Circle, power supply will be interrupted from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm in Shakar Dara, Attock Rural, Teen Mela, and Bagh Nelab feeders. Likewise, in the Jehlum Circle, electricity will be suspended from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm in Sanaullah, Machine Mohalla, Pakhwal, F2 (Chip Board), Industrial, and F10 (Kala Base) feeders.
In the Chakwal Circle, power will be cut off from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm in Mian Bazar feeders.
In the GSO Circle, outages are scheduled from 09:00 am to 03:00 pm at the 132KV Grid Station Bhagwal, and from 07:00 am to 05:00 pm at the Azad Pattan Feeder and nearby areas.
The management of IESCO expressed regret to consumers for the inconvenience caused and indicated that power supply might be restored sooner than planned if the maintenance tasks are completed ahead of schedule.
Lahore residents face unscheduled gas load shedding
Earlier, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) began unannounced gas load shedding, even during the specified cooking hours, which has heightened concerns regarding an escalating gas crisis in Lahore.
There are growing concerns about a gas shortage in the city, as the duration of load shedding has been prolonged due to deficiencies in the supply system.
Domestic consumers have expressed frustration about ongoing interruptions, despite the availability of an official gas supply timetable during cooking hours.
