Sindh govt warns against fake ads under pink scooty scheme

The Sindh Mass Transit Authority has released a public alert regarding fake schemes being promoted under the name of the Pink Scooty scheme.

In an official advisory, the authorities stated that the Pink Scooty scheme is exclusively provided by the Government of Sindh, and any advertisements appearing on social media from other sources are fake and deceptive.

Citizens are advised against sharing personal information on unauthorised links or platforms that appear to offer registration for the scheme.

The authority emphasised that applications for the Pink Scooty program must only be submitted via the official government platform.

Sindh govt announces pink scooty scheme for women

Senior Provincial Minister for Information and Transport, Sharjeel Memon, previously announced that the initiative will be officially launched on March 8, as part of the provincial government’s commitment to empower women and offer them safe, eco-friendly transportation.

As part of the program, chosen women will be given modern electric scooters designed to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental pollution.

To guarantee safe operation, recipients will also receive comprehensive driving training and participate in road safety awareness sessions.

Earlier, the criteria for eligibility and the application procedure for the free electric scooty (E-scooty) program for women in Sindh was released.

The government of Sindh specified the requirements and the process for women to submit their applications for the free electric scooty scheme.

This initiative has been designed to eliminate the difficulties encountered by women in the province and to empower them.
