Youm-e-Tashakur to be observed on Friday, April 10, as announced by the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The reason for this is the ceasefire between Iran and US and the role that was played by Pakistan.

The PM has also asked the country to pray for the negotiaitions be successful. The Cabinet members today also applauded the efforts of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for the peace process.

They appreciated him by thumping on their desk. The efforts of Pakistan and Field Marshal have also been recognised globally, with the world reacting positively to the ceasefire.

The United Nations Secretary General António Guterres has welcomed the US-Iran two-week ceasefire as revealed by his spokesperson. He has also urged all parties to work towards permanent, sustainable peace in the Middle East.

Other than the UN Secretary General, Friedrich Merz, the German Chancellor also said that the German government welcomes the two-week ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran.

They also said it is crucial to ensure a lasting end to the war in the coming days.

The Malaysian PM also praised the ceasefire and Pakistan’s role in it. He congratulated PM Shehbaz Sharif for his tireless and courageous diplomatic efforts that helped bring a crucial ceasefire.

“I once again extend our sincere congratulations and deep appreciation to Pakistan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the tireless and courageous diplomacy that helped bring this moment about,” he posted on X.

“Pakistan’s willingness to speak to all sides, without fear or favour, reflects the highest traditions of Muslim solidarity and international responsibility. Malaysia stands ready to support and complement all efforts in this regard,” PM Ibrahim added.
