Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz praised Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for playing an important role in ending the war between the US and Iran.

CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz wrote in a post on X, “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir and DPM Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Allah has bestowed upon you an extraordinary honour. Through your decisive and courageous leadership, a potentially catastrophic conflict was averted, safeguarding countless innocent lives and steering the world away from disaster.”
She further wrote in her post, “This is the essence of true statesmanship. Alhamdulillah. A defining moment that fills every Pakistani with pride, strengthens our unity, and showcases to the world the strength, dignity, and unwavering spirit of the Pakistani nation.
May Allah continue to bless Pakistan and guide us all. Ameen.”
Pakistan’s role in ceasefire between US, Iran
It is important to mention that Pakistan has played an important role in ending the war between the US and Iran. Earlier, on Tuesday, after the PM Shehbaz tweet on X, the US President Donald Trump agreed to the ceasefire for 15 days.
After that, Iran’s leadership also agreed to the ceasefire. According to the media reports, Islamabad will host peace talks between the US and Iran on April 9th and 10th. The leadership of both countries, including the US and Iran, will come to Islamabad.
On the other hand, the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, also praised and thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for playing a significant role in reducing the tensions in the Middle East.
