Apple is getting ready to introduce one of the biggest iPhone updates in its history in September 2026, according to multiple reports on Tuesday.
The company is expected to launch the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and its first foldable iPhone.
Apple has not officially confirmed these plans. However, reports from several sources, including Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, say the company is working on new iPhones, foldable devices and more products with artificial intelligence (AI).
When will Apple’s yearly launch for 2026 happen?
Reports say that Apple’s yearly launch event could take place on September 8 or 9, 2026.
The United Arab Emirates is expected to be one of the first countries where pre orders will open soon after the event. Customers may start receiving the new phones from September 18.
Apple iPhone 18 launch
Sources also say Apple could launch the iPhone 18 lineup in two stages. The first stage may include the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the foldable iPhone. The standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and the next iPhone Air could arrive in early 2027.
The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to have a design similar to the current phones. They may come with a larger camera module, a bigger battery, a better vapour chamber cooling system and new colour options. The reported colours include Dark Cherry, Light Blue, Silver and Dark Grey.
Apple’s foldable iPhone
Reports also say Apple could finally introduce its first foldable iPhone after years of rumours. The device is expected to have a stronger hinge, better durability and an improved user experience. It is likely to be sold as a premium model alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series.
The price of the new phones may also increase. Nabila Popal said higher production costs could raise the price of the iPhone 18 Pro models by as much as $200.
If this happens, they could become Apple’s most expensive mainstream iPhones so far.
