The new Supreme Leader of Iran Mojtaba Khamenei has said that Iran is not pursuing for war and does not want war but it will never compromise on its legitimate rights.

The statement comes on the 40th day since his father, the previous Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was assassinated.

It was emphasised by Mojtaba Khamenei in a message broadcast on state television that Iran does not seek conflict.

However, it was made clear by him that under no conditions will Iran forfiet is legitimate rights under any circumstances.

Victory Claim and a strong warning

The Iranian people were described by the Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei as the definitive victors on the battlefield who have defeated the enemy.

It was also emphasised by him that no criminal aggressors will go unpunished. Giving a warning and firm stance against the recent attacks.

He also gave some comments regarding the strategic Strait of Hormuz. He said the management of the strait will move into a new stage.

These remarks send a message that there might be potential changes in how Iran approaches security and control of the extremely vital oil transit route.

Currently the war has been halted by a two week ceasefire. Negotiations will take place tomorrow in Islamabad, Pakistan. The President of the United States has shown optimism about the upcoming negotiations.

President Donald Trump has also asked the Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu to scale back on the strike on Lebanon, as they were having a negative effect on the ceasefire.
