PSL 11: Quetta Gladiators set 183-run target against Rawalpindi

In the 18th match of the PSL, Quetta Gladiators defeated Rawalpindi by 61 runs, marking Rawalpindi’s fifth consecutive loss in the tournament.

According to the details, Rawalpindi were bowled out for 121 runs in 17.3 overs while chasing a target of 183. Daryl Mitchell was the top scorer with 30 runs, while Yasir Khan scored 22, Saad Masood made 31, and Abdullah Fazal added 20 runs.

Usman Tariq, Saud Shakeel, and Jahandad Khan took two wickets each for Quetta Gladiators. Earlier, Quetta Gladiators scored 182 for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted overs, setting a target of 183 runs for Rawalpindi.

Rilee Rossouw stood out with 52 runs, while captain Saud Shakeel scored 42. Hassan Nawaz played an aggressive innings of 39 runs off 16 balls, and Jahandad Khan added 21 runs off just 6 balls. Ben Sears took three wickets for Rawalpindi, while Mohammad Amir claimed two and Mubashar Khan picked up one.

Earlier, Rawalpindi captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and invited Saud Shakeel’s XI to bat first. Rawalpindi is still searching for its first win in the tournament, having lost all four of its matches, while Quetta has managed just one win from four games. This is the first time both teams have faced each other in this PSL season.

In response, Quetta Gladiators posted 182 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Riley Resso was the standout performer with 63 runs, while Saud Shakeel scored 42 and Hassan Nawaz contributed 39 runs.

Rylee Russo led the batting charge with a fluent 52, while captain Saud Shakeel added a solid 42 to anchor the innings. Quetta now look to defend their total in a crucial encounter as Rawalpindi begin their chase.
