Red Metro services to be suspended tomorrow

The Red Metro services will be suspended in the federal capital, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi, all day tomorrow, on April 11, 2026.

According to the details, the services will be suspended for the whole day for the Rawalpindi–Islamabad Metrobus.

This suspension comes along with another local holiday announcement in the Twin Cities for April 11.

The details regarding the board exam suspension have not been revealed yet.

Islamabad holiday tomorrow

‘The District Administration Islamabad has declared Saturday, 11th April 2026, as a Local Holiday within the revenue limits of Islamabad Capital Territory,’ the District Magistrate Islamabad (DC), Irfan Nawaz Memon, stated on the social media platform X.

However, all essential services, including MCI, CDA, ICT Administration, ICT Police, IESCO, SNGPL, and hospitals, will remain fully operational.

Rawalpindi local holiday

Before this, another local holiday was announced in Rawalpindi for tomorrow, April 11 2026.

An official notification was issued in this regard as well.

In addition to this, it has been announced that all the bazaars and markets will remain completely closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, on April 10, 11, and 12, in Rawalpindi.

Islamabad traffic plan for tomorrow

The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued another crucial traffic advisory for the travellers in the federal capital of Pakistan.

According to the advisory, the Red Zone and the Extended Red Zone will be closed for all types of traffic.

Red Zone extended

The Extended Red Zone includes

1) Kashmir Chowk Club Road to Zero Point Srinagar Highway,
2) Srinagar Highway, Zero Point to Serena Chowk,
3) Shakar Parian Road, Chandtara Chowk to Seventh Avenue,
4) Jinnah Avenue, Khayaban Chowk to Blue Area, and
5) Margalla Road from Faisal Chowk to Trail 3

All these additional regions will remain closed to any kind of traffic.

All government and private offices, markets located in the extended red zone will remain closed, according to the report.
