Namra Shahid recently appeared as a guest on Hina Niazi’s Suno To Sahi where she talked about her experience as a young actress in the Pakistani drama industry.
She also addressed the issue of favoritism within the industry. She mentioned that lobbying and favoritism are realities that one must confront repeatedly.
She further explained that this is the nature of the industry, and it is obvious that public relations play a crucial role in achieving success.
“You will observe how a girl may be selected for major roles based on her public relations efforts, even if she has not delivered outstanding performances before that. This is the way the drama industry works”, Namra Shahid added.
The ‘Aik Aur Pakeezah’ actress also stressed on the importance of social media following, saying that nowadays, a large following on Instagram or Facebook is a must-have for any Pakistani celebrity who wants to be successful in the industry.
Namra Shahid opens up about losing her mother
Earlier, Namra Shahid, talked about losing her mother in Maliha Rehman’s interview.
She stated, “My mother passed away in February. It was all sudden for me. I talked to her the night before her death; she was all fine at night, but during the day she fell sick and passed away. It is traumatic for me losing her suddenly. It’s not easy for me, but I think now I have become a mother.”
Namra Shahid is a Pakistani television actress celebrated for her authentic performances in various drama serials and her vibrant role as a digital creator.
Her most popular drama series include Muamma, Mohra, Shiddat, Shahrukh Ki Saaliyaan, Bholi Bano, and Aik Mohabbat Kafi Hai.
