The vice president of the United States (US) has come live to speak regarding the ongoing situation in Islamabad today.

JD Vance revealed that ‘no agreement has been reached with Iran.’

During the ongoing talks between the US and Iran in Islamabad, US Vice President JD Vance thanked Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in his brief press briefing.

In the press briefing, he said that the talks between the two countries have been going on for the past 21 hours, and many important issues have been discussed in detail.

He said that the US has clearly presented its position on which points it is possible to agree on and on which issues it is not.

Further, he added that although a final agreement has not been reached yet, the talks are ongoing.

According to JD Vance, not reaching an agreement is more of a bad news for Iran than for the US.

The US Vice President appreciated Pakistan’s hosting and mediating role and said that Pakistan has played an important facilitating role in holding the talks.

Delegations from Iran and the US are present in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, for peace talks.

Before this, Iran announced that another round of talks is expected today, after the first one concluded.

The Iranian government clarified in a statement released on social media that the Iran-US talks, mediated by Pakistan, were completed after 14 hours.
