Several media reports confirmed that 9 individuals were killed and more than 15 were injured in an explosion at a power plant in Chhattisgarh. The reports also confirmed that the power plant is located in Sakti district.

Chhattisgarh police showed concern that some workers are still trapped at the site. The initial reports confirmed that the blast occurred in a boiler tube at the Vedanta Limited power plant in Singhitarai village.

After the explosion at the power plant, people working at the power plant and residents of that area are in panic. The media reports also confirmed that several people are critically injured.
