PlayStation Plus users warned ahead of free line-up of games for May 2026

PlayStation Plus Extra users have received a notification regarding the games that will be leaving the service in May 2026.

According to reports, several games including popular titles will be exiting PlayStation Plus Extra next month to make room for the new titles being added to the service.

These games are frequently removed once the agreement to feature them on the service concludes, which typically occurs on a six-month, 12-month, or 24-month schedule.

Games leaving PlayStation Plus in May 2026

A lot of popular games are expected to leave PlayStation ahead of the free games line-up in May this year. The games most likely to leave the service include:

  • GTA V
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Moto GP 25
  • Sand Land
  • Battlefield V
  • Granblue Fantasy Versus
  • Crime Boss: Rockay City
  • Cat Quest
  • Cat Quest 2

With major titles like Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption expected to exit the PlayStation Plus library in May, the upcoming month may be disappointing for members.

Additionally, there are several games that were introduced six months earlier, yet are less likely to be removed from the PlayStation Plus library.

These games include: Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Thank Goodness You’re Here, Insurgency: Sandstorm, Still Wakes the Deep, and Pacific Drive.

Many gamers are still hoping that Sony will deliver something remarkable soon, especially given the rising cost of a PS Plus membership.

Nevertheless, as the service now focuses on major titles alongside popular indie releases, it seems likely that another wave of cancellations will occur in May.
