PSL 11: Islamabad United dominate Karachi Kings

In the 25th match of the PSL, Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings comfortably by 8 wickets.

In the match played at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, Islamabad United chased down the target of 151 runs set by Karachi Kings in 15.5 overs, losing just 2 wickets.

Sameer Minhas played an impressive innings of 58 runs off 36 balls. Muhammad Faiq was dismissed for 5 runs, while Devon Conway remained unbeaten on 53. Shadab Khan contributed a quickfire 31 runs.

For Karachi Kings, Hassan and Moeen Ali took one wicket each. Earlier, batting first, Karachi Kings scored 150 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted overs, setting Islamabad United a target of 151 runs.

Reeza Hendricks’ innings of 51 runs went in vain, while Azam Khan scored 34 off 29 balls and Jason Roy made 39 runs. Salman Ali Agha and Saad Baig were dismissed after scoring 4 and 6 runs, respectively. For Islamabad United, Shadab Khan and Reeza Hendricks took two wickets each, while Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Hasnain claimed one wicket apiece.

Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan won the toss and opted to field first against Moeen Ali’s XI. Moeen Ali said that David Warner was not playing this match but would be available for the next game.

Shadab Khan said that he was back in the side and that Mohammad Hasnain would make his debut for the team. It is worth noting that in the previous match, Hyderabad defeated Kingsmen by 5 wickets to secure their third consecutive win in the tournament, while Rawalpindi has now lost six matches in a row.
