Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reduced the diesel price by Rs 32. The new price of diesel is Rs 353.43. Earlier, the diesel price was Rs 385.54. However, the government announced to keep the petrol prices the same.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reduced the petrol prices by Rs12. Now the petrol price per litre in the country is Rs 366. It is important to mention that PM Shehbaz reduced the diesel prices by Rs 135 and now he further reduced Rs 32 to facilitate the citizens, particularly the farmers.
The governmnet was also announced a subsidy for bikers, and after the reduction in petrol prices, the subsidy for bikers remains intact and still is.
Petroleum Prices rise after the US-Iran war
The petroleum prices increased after the US-Iran in February 8. The main reason for the increased petroleum prices was the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. However, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal played an important role in the ceasefire between the US and Iran.
After the ceasefire between the US and Iran, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reduced the petrol price by Rs 80. At the time, the petrol price was 458 per litre. After the reduction in petrol prices by Rs 80, the petrol price was Rs 378.
