Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level trilateral meeting with Türkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Qatar amir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

During the meeting, the three leaders engaged in discussions on matters of mutual interest, regional cooperation and strengthening bilateral ties. The interaction reflected the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan, Türkiye and Qatar, while reaffirming their commitment to enhancing collaboration on diplomatic and strategic fronts.

Yesterday, Tayyip Erdoğan praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during a press conference on Friday. The President of the Republic of Türkiye also said that the ceasefire in the region is due to PM Shehbaz Sharif.

Tayyip Erdoğan also said, “We will continue struggling for lasting peace in the region.” The global system is saving who? The Gaza genocide showed everything, Tayyip Erdoğan said in his press conference.

Earlier, the US President Donald Trump thanked Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their continuous efforts for peace in the region.

The US President Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social account, “Thank you to Pakistan and its Great Prime Minister and Field Marshall, two fantastic people.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif later publicly thanked US President Donald Trump in a message shared on the social media platform X, expressing appreciation for what he described as “kind and gracious words.

In his statement, the Prime Minister said: “Mr President, on behalf of the people of Pakistan, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and on my behalf, I express my deep and profound appreciation for your kind and gracious words.”

The message signals a tone of diplomatic goodwill and highlights the importance Islamabad places on its relationship with Washington. By specifically acknowledging the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, alongside the people of Pakistan, the Prime Minister underscored a unified national response to the remarks attributed to Trump.
