Pakistan Customs have suspended the officers involved in the silver sweep case, and have deployed a new team in Quetta for further investigation.
Pakistan Customs issues suspension orders for additional officers who made further progress in the silver sweep case and decided to deploy a new team in Quetta to continue investigating independently.
In continuation of the press release issued by Pakistan Customs on April 13, 2026, it has been stated that more evidence has emerged in connection with the silver smuggling case.
The evidence reportedly indicates the involvement of certain individuals, as well as negligence and ineffective performance.
Following these revelations, the department has taken strict administrative actions, including suspensions.
According to details, the suspended officers include one BS-20 officer, one BS-18 officer, and one BS-17 officer, while three BS-16 officers have also been suspended.
In total, six officers have been removed from their positions to ensure a transparent investigation.

According to Pakistan Customs, criminal investigation is ongoing, and cases have been registered against the persons directly involved under FIR No # 01, dated April 13.
The agency has made it clear that all possible beneficiaries in the case will be brought to justice, and no exemption will be granted to anyone.
Pakistan Customs announced that three new officers have been deployed at the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Quetta to ensure an independent, transparent, and impartial investigation of the case.
Director General (DG) Communication and Public Relations of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) said in a statement that the agency follows a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and acts strictly irrespective of position or status.
Pakistan Customs is taking this matter very seriously and will reveal more facts to the public after the investigation is complete.
