Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s growing popularity has drawn notable attention in Afghanistan, with reactions emerging on social media from across the border.
In a recent development, a citizen from Nangarhar shared a message expressing appreciation for Pakistan and Field Marshal Asim Munir. The message, which has circulated online, reflects a segment of public sentiment gaining visibility on digital platforms.
Meanwhile, a separate video making rounds on social media has triggered widespread concern, as it reportedly includes an appeal calling for the removal of the Afghan Taliban government. The clip has sparked intense discussion online, highlighting the evolving regional narrative and the role of digital media in amplifying such voices.
In one such video, a citizen from Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province shared a message expressing appreciation and goodwill for Pakistan and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Speaking emotionally, the individual praised Pakistan’s leadership and highlighted the difficult situation in his country. He attributed Afghanistan’s current challenges to Taliban rule and appealed for support, calling for peace and stability.
Earlier, another video surfaced in which an Afghan man displayed a written message expressing his admiration for Pakistan and its military. In the message, he signalled readiness for support and conveyed strong sentiments in favour of Pakistan.
A similar video also emerged from Paktika province, where an Afghan citizen criticised the Taliban leadership and suggested that oppressive systems are eventually challenged. In another clip, reportedly recorded near a damaged tank, the same sentiments were repeated. The video is said to have been filmed near the main gate of Mansouri Corps, although this has not been independently verified. The emergence of such content on social media underscores growing anxiety among some individuals, particularly in the context of ongoing issues such as unrest and militancy.
