Steve Smith delighted after first PSL experience with Multan Sultans

Steve Smith, Australian batting star has described his first experience with Pakistan Super League in Multan Sultans as great fun.

He further added that he is greatly enjoying his team in PSL and wants to end the tournament strongly.

Snith said, “I’m just enjoying my time here, it has been good fun the last month or so with the Multan team.”

He further added that his side has played some really good cricket. He also stated that he has enjoyed contributing at key moments a lot.

In the past couple of years Steve Smith has transitioned into an opening role in T20 cricket. He has said that this position naturally suits him.

He explained, “Anyone wants to get up top and have two fielders out for as long as possible. It’s kind of suited the way I play.”

PSL was also praised by the former Australian captain. He called it a highly competitive league which is full of talent.

He said “It’s been a really good league; there is so much talent here.”

He further highlighted the quality within Multan and across the tournament.

Steve Smith also talked about how the learning process works both ways when talking about the young players in the Multan Sultans squad.

He said, “I’m learning from the younger generation, they are teaching me everything.”

He further added that he will also guide the youngster whenever and wherever possible.

When talking about goals for Multan Sultans Steve Smith said that the focus was on finishing strong and making sure they finish as one of the top two teams in the group-stage.

He also appreciated the franchise environment at Multan Sultans. He further added that the hospitality in Pakistan is one to remember.

However, the fact that PSL is being played without a crowd is a downside for him.
