The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a comprehensive report on the quality of mobile network services across the country. The findings are based on data collected from 159 districts over three months.
According to the media report, national results derived from independent testing by OpenSignal have been published, highlighting mobile network performance across Pakistan’s major cities. The dataset includes information from 15 cities nationwide, gathered between January 1 and March 31, 2026.
During this period, more than 1.23 billion samples were analysed, making it one of the most extensive assessments of mobile network quality in the country to date.
The report was prepared using data gathered from 159 districts. The average download speed nationwide was recorded at 18.60 Mbps, while high-end devices achieved an average download speed of 30.20 Mbps. The average upload speed across the country was 5.81 Mbps.
The video experience score was 44.97, and the gaming experience score was 40.93. Network availability, or time spent on the network, was recorded at 94.21%.
OpenSignal compiled these results based on real user experience. The upload and download speeds of mobile operators were evaluated in various cities, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
