Sindh issues new rules for private school fees after academic year begins

Sindh private school fees

The Sindh Education Department has issued new guidelines for private school fees.

The instructions have been released for the start of the 2026-27 academic year in the private schools of Sindh.

As per the latest release, schools have been told not to charge matriculation students any fees beyond March 2026, as they are currently appearing in board examinations.

Additional Director (AD) registration, Rafia Javed, said matric exams started on April 10 and no extra charges should be imposed on students during this period.

She added that a fee schedule is already in place for those moving from Grade 9 to Grade 10.

The department has also outlined how fees should be collected in the coming months. Schools have been instructed to collect fees for June and July during April and May.

The authorities said the academic session began on April 1.

The new system will apply to students from pre-primary up to Grade 9. Schools have also been told to issue separate fee vouchers for each month.

According to the instructions, June vouchers will remain valid until June 30, while July vouchers can be used until July 31.

Officials say the measures are aimed at bringing more clarity to the fee structure and ensuring that students are not unnecessarily charged during the examination period.
