Islamabad United cruise to 8-wicket win over Hyderabad Kingsmen

Islamabad United cruised to a dominant 8-wicket victory over Hyderabad Kingsmen in the 36th match of PSL 11.

Playing at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, United made light work of the modest 81-run target, chasing it down in just 6.4 overs while losing only two wickets.

Mohsin Riaz was the standout performer, scoring 42 runs, while Sameer Minhas contributed 27 runs. Mohammad Ali took both wickets for Hyderabad Kingsmen. Earlier, the Hyderabad Kingsmen team was bowled out for 80 runs in 15.5 overs, setting a target of 81 runs for Islamabad United.

It was the lowest team total of the current season, with seven batsmen failing to reach double figures. Usman Khan remained not out on 25 runs, while Kaushal Perera, Saim Ayub, and Asif Mahmood scored 12 runs each. Captain Marnus Labuschagne managed only 5 runs, and opener Moaz Sadaqat was dismissed without scoring.

For Islamabad United, Richard Gleeson, Imad Wasim, and Shadab Khan took three wickets each. Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Shadab Khan also mentioned that Salman Mirza had returned to the team, while Mohsin Riaz was making his debut. Hyderabad Kingsmen captain Marnus Labuschagne said that Akif Asif had been included in the playing XI.
