At the historic border of Wagah, which divides Pakistan and India, a wave of passion and enthusiasm once again surged when, during the traditional flag-lowering ceremony and parade, the historic message of Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, was broadcast on the large electronic screens installed there, a message that had reduced India’s arrogance to dust in the Marka-e-Haq in May 2025.
Thousands of spectators present at Wagah Border raised thunderous slogans when those words of the DG ISPR echoed on the screens: “You have fired missiles on our land; we only want to say this to you, that we are a nation that will not be intimidated by your power, your aggression, or your deceit. Now just wait for our response.”
This is the same message that was given to India before the start of the three-hour retaliatory strike on May 10, “Operation Bunyan Marsoos,” after which the world also witnessed the practical demonstration of the professional expertise of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
The May 2025 Battle and “Operation Bunyan Marsoos”
The roots of this incident are embedded in the events of May 2025, which had brought the region to the brink of a nuclear war.
At the beginning of May 2025, in the area of Pahalgam in occupied Kashmir, Indian intelligence agencies allegedly staged a so-called terrorist attack to create justification for blaming Pakistan.
Under the cover of this false flag operation, India launched “Operation Sindoor” against Pakistan between May 7 and 9, 2025, firing missiles into Pakistani territory and reaching the peak of provocation and aggression.
In response to Indian aggression, the Pakistan Army initiated “Operation Bunyan Marsoos” (a wall of molten lead).
Just a few hours after the warning message of the DG ISPR, Pakistan delivered such a decisive blow to Indian Air Force and ground installations that its echo is still heard in international defence circles.
Significance of Re-broadcasting the Message at Wagah Border
The re-broadcasting of this message at Wagah Border is being regarded as highly significant. Wagah Border is the place where civilians and military personnel from both sides of the border stand face to face.
The broadcasting of this message there serves as a clear reminder to India that Pakistan will not compromise on its sovereignty and possesses the full capability to respond to every act of aggression.
It is a form of psychological pressure.
This move is also a means of boosting the morale of the Pakistani public and further strengthening their trust in the armed forces.
The reminder of the 2025 battle proves that Pakistan’s defence doctrine has expanded beyond mere “retaliation” to “teaching the enemy a lesson,” the proof of which is the success of “Operation Bunyan Marsoos.”
