The US has signed an $8.6 billion defence deal with the Middle-East allies.

The US signed a major defence agreement with its allies in the Middle East, authorising the sale of more than $8.6 billion worth of advanced military equipment.

Under the initiative, modern defence systems and military equipment will be provided to Israel, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

“This defence agreement is designed to strengthen the security capabilities of US allies in the region,” the US State Department said in a statement.

According to officials, the equipment provided will contain advanced defence technologies, which will significantly increase the defence preparedness of the country.

According to experts, recent tensions with Iran, concerns of missile and drone strikes, and the regional security situation have forced the Gulf state to strengthen its defence system.

On the other side, political commentators say that such a large-scale arms sale could further affect the balance of power in the region and could even add to already ongoing tensions.

The US president took the opportunity to mention ongoing relations with Iran, saying he was negotiating with Tehran, though there was still uncertainty regarding any possible agreement.

Trump says Iran cannot have nuclear weapons

The US President, Donald Trump, claimed that Iran has no navy, air force, or anti-aircraft

He said that we have to make sure that they don’t have a nuclear weapon.

While addressing the public at The Villages, Florida, US, Trump said that we stopped them with the B-2 bombers.

He added, “If we didn’t do that, they would have had a nuclear weapon. Israel would have been blown to pieces. The Middle East would have been blown to pieces. I think Europe would have been blown to pieces.”

“But under what we were doing, I said, look, we’re going to have to make this journey. So it’s almost like we built up this great thing”, he said.

Talking about the military of Iran, the US President claimed that Iran has no Navy, no Air Force, and no anti-aircraft equipment. They do not have any radar left.

Trump said, “Iran has no leaders; their leaders are all gone. Very sad, very fine people. But with all of that, I said, we have to do it.”

“They possessed 159 ships in their Navy. That’s a pretty good Navy. Within the first week, 159 out of 159 ships are right now lying at the bottom of the sea. Their Navy is gone”, mentioned the US President.
