Will petrol prices increase next week?
There is little chance of a major increase in petroleum prices next week, as sources say that rates are likely to remain stable or there may only be a slight change, according to reports on Tuesday.
According to sources, the prices of petroleum products are likely to remain at the current level or see a slight change next week. This is expected to offer some relief to consumers after the recent sharp hike.
The federal government had increased the prices of petroleum products on May 1. After that, the prices of petrol and diesel reached close to Rs400 per litre.
The increase in oil prices in the global market was cited as the main reason for this decision, according to the reports.
