By signing an overseas contract with Bhutanese club Transport United FC to play in the 2026 season, Suha Hirani, a midfielder with the national team of Pakistan women, has made a big step forward in her career.

Hirani, 24, leaves Karachi City FC after making herself a dependable and seasoned member of the team.

Hirani established a promising reputation as a technically talented and progressive-minded midfielder during her time in domestic football.

Known for her composure on the ball, she always drives the play through the middle connecting between the midfield and attack and making intelligent runs into the final third.

Her capability to play between defensive lines and attack in the advanced areas has made her a major attacking outlet.

Hirani is mainly an attacking midfielder but is a versatile player who can play in many other positions, including both wings.

This has proven to be an asset for the Pakistan women’s national team where she has become a regular starter.

She has also performed well in the international arena, including playing significant roles in the recent AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers.

Other than her offensive capabilities she can also have an impressive work rate and her defensive tracking adds more balance to her game.

Her transfer to Transport United FC is a sign of personal and wider change in women’s football in the region.

The club based in Thimphu is believed to be one of the more competitive clubs in Bhutan, which gives Hirani the opportunity to receive valuable international exposure, as well as to refine her skills further.

This transfer indicates a growing trend of Pakistani players seeking opportunities outside the country to develop themselves through regular and competitive football, as well as to put the women’s game of Pakistan in the limelight.
