Where to get petrol on discounted rate? Find out

Petrol prices increased in Pakistan

Attock Petroleum has launched a discount offer, announcing a further reduction in petrol prices at its company operated fuel stations. The company is offering a special discount of Rs5 per litre at pumps that are directly managed by it.

This discount is available only at selected outlets operated by the company, while dealer run petrol pumps are not included. The move aims to provide relief to consumers and promote competition in the market.

Attock Petroleum has around 45 fuel stations across the country where this discount can be availed. These outlets are located in major cities and along motorways, and are clearly marked as company operated petrol pumps.

Following tensions between the United States and Iran, petroleum prices had seen an unusual surge. During that period, the price of regular petrol in Pakistan exceeded Rs400 per litre, while high octane fuel reached between Rs500 and Rs600 per litre in some areas, placing a heavy financial burden on the public.

Currently, the price of regular petrol widely used across the country stands at around Rs401 per litre. This rate remains almost uniform at all fuel stations as it is regulated, meaning companies are not allowed to sell petrol above the fixed price.

When the Prime Minister announced a Rs300 levy on high octane fuel, its price rose to nearly Rs600 per litre, leading to a significant drop in sales. Aramco was the first to announce a major reduction of Rs200 per litre in high octane petrol prices, after which other companies followed suit.

At present, high octane petrol prices vary among companies. At Shell fuel stations, V-Power is available at the lowest price of Rs410 per litre compared to others. Pakistan State Oil offers high octane at Rs420 per litre, Attock Petroleum at Rs 465 per litre, while Aramco’s Pro Force is priced at Rs467 per litre.
