Activity has surged at the ‘People-Friendly Sacrificial Animals Market’ on the Northern Bypass ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, with the number of sacrificial animals exceeding 100,000, according to market officials.
Animals from multiple districts, including Sheikhupura, Rahim Yar Khan, and Kashmore, are on display across designated blocks, attracting both traders and families. Visitors, especially children, are seen engaging with the animals and capturing moments on their phones.
Market Administrator Tariq Tanoli said traders are being provided free access to fodder for their animals. He added that uninterrupted power is being ensured through heavy-duty generators operating around the clock. Thanks to enhanced security and a calm environment, the market’s food street is also witnessing heavy footfall, remaining active late into the night.
