FBI Director Kash Patel has announced that the first batch of UFO ‘alien files’ has been forwarded to an interagency committee for public disclosure very soon.
This action is part of a broader declassification initiative approved by US President Trump in February, which is being spearheaded by the Department of War.
Patel emphasised the bureau’s commitment to transparency, although he did not verify whether any of the documents include evidence of recovered extraterrestrial bodies.
President Trump instructed the Pentagon and other agencies to make all UFO-related information public, assuring that the public would soon find ‘very interesting’ materials.
Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has insisted that the Pentagon release numerous UFO videos, citing possible security concerns. She sent a letter to Secretary Hegseth on April 1, demanding that the Pentagon provide 46 specific clips by no later than April 14, 2026.
UFO whistleblower David Grusch has further warned that certain agencies are attempting to manipulate the narrative, yet he expects that disclosure will reach a critical tipping point within 90 days.
Pentagon faces criticism over deadline to release UFO videos
However, the Pentagon has already faced criticism from Congress for failing to meet a strict deadline to release nearly forty videos allegedly containing recordings of UFOs.
Lawmakers have said that the videos could uncover patterns of activity near sensitive military installations and assist in assessing whether the objects represent a potential national security risk. It remains unclear if those videos have been submitted.
Thorough speculation regarding the information that may be included in the first set of alien files has already raised concerns among prominent faith leaders, including a group of Christian pastors who reported being contacted by elements of the US government.
In light of the situation, Bishop Alan DiDio of the Revival Nation Church disclosed during a podcast on March 7 with other faith leaders that he was one of six Christian pastors invited to a confidential meeting with US intelligence officials to prepare for the disclosure of UFO information.
