Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a telephonic conversation in which the Iranian foreign minister thanked Pakistan for facilitating the safe recovery of Iranian citizens.
During the call, Araqchi also briefed Dar on key aspects of his recent visit to China, according to diplomatic sources.
According to the spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation, recent developments, regional and global issues, and matters of mutual interest in detail.
The Iranian foreign minister also expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its diplomatic and humanitarian support during difficult times.
Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a telephone conversation on Thursday.
During the warm and cordial exchange, both leaders discussed the current regional situation in detail and reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region.
The Prime Minister, referring to his recent visit to Doha on April 16, said that his meetings with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Qatari leadership were very productive in building consensus for promoting peace in the region.
