Sindh Pink Games deferred over rising temperatures

The Government of Sindh has postponed the Sindh Pink Games due to the intensifying heatwave, just a day after officially announcing the event.

According to officials, the games were scheduled to take place in Nawabshah from May 8 to 10 and were set to be inaugurated by First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari. Authorities said the decision was made after multiple sports associations raised concerns over the extreme weather conditions.

However, Secretary of Sports Munawar Mahesar stated that several sports associations requested the postponement due to the increasing heatwave conditions. As a result, the Pink Games have been postponed.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast severe heatwave conditions in different parts of the country, including the central and southern parts.

According to the details, the weather will remain hot in the central and southern parts of the country from today, May 7, to May 11.

According to the MET office, the weather will remain hot in the upper regions from May 8 to May 10.

Weather in Sindh, Balochistan

The details confirmed that the parts of Sindh and Balochistan, including Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Ghotki, Khairpur, Nausheroferoze, Jacobabad, Larkana, Sukkur, Sibbi, Turbat, and Panjgur, will remain hot. The temperature will remain between 46 °C and 50 °C.
