In the recent report, it has been confirmed that iPhone users will not be able to use 5G in their phones until next year (2027) in Pakistan. Apple, as a multinational company, apologised to its users and confirmed that the company will not enable the 5G option in iPhone until 2027.
No 5G in iPhones until 2027
According to the details, the bad news is coming for the technology lover and specifically for the iPhone users as the company apologised to enable the 5G options in iPhones until next year.
The report also confirmed that iPhone users will not be able to use 5G until 2027.
The Ministry of IT and Telecom also said that Apple informed the authorities in Pakistan that the company will decide about enabling the 5G option after analysing the market space in 2027.
However, the technology experts said that the heavy taxes on imported mobile phones, specifically iPhones, are a big reason for the decline of Apple’s market in Pakistan.
Similarly, the company is also hesitant to invest more and is delaying the process of providing 5G to iPhone users.
5G is available on Samsung mobile phones
On the other hand, the facility of 5G is already available on Samsung mobile phones. The government completed an auction of $507 million worth of 5G spectrum in March this year, aimed at improving internet speed and quality across the country, with a total of 480 megahertz (MHz) of spectrum sold.
Telecom industry officials said that all operators have placed orders for the equipment needed to launch 5G services and that services have even been launched on a trial basis in some specific areas. However, iPhone users may have to wait more than a year to benefit from this advanced technology.
