The latest update has been released regarding the injury of star batsman Babar Azam, who has been ruled out of the first Test match against Bangladesh due to injury.
According to media reports, Babar Azam’s injury is not serious, as he has been practising vigorously in training sessions. However, Babar experienced pain in his left knee during a practice session yesterday and underwent an MRI scan after informing the team management.

It is also reported that Babar Azam did not request rest himself; rather, the team management decided to rest him. He is expected to be available for the second Test. The second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will begin on May 16 in Sylhet.
Earlier, Bangladesh put up a commanding batting display on the opening day of the Test match against Pakistan, ending the day in a strong position at 301 for 4.
Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto led from the front with a superb century, scoring 101 runs off 130 balls. He was well supported by Mominul Haque, who played a fluent innings of 91 runs, helping build a solid foundation for the hosts. At stumps, experienced batter Mushfiqur Rahim remained unbeaten on 48, steadying the innings and ensuring Bangladesh maintained control at the close of play.
Bangladesh will look to extend their advantage on the second day as they aim for a big first-innings total against the visiting side. In the ongoing first Test between the Pakistan national cricket team and the Bangladesh team in Mirpur, Bangladesh strengthened their position after reaching 261/3 at the end of 70 overs on the opening day.
