A tragic road accident occurred on the Mian Jo Goth Link Road in the Shikarpur area of Sindh province when a bus carrying wedding guests fell into a roadside ditch, killing five people, including a child and injuring more than 30 others.
The bus, which was transporting a wedding party, overturned after reportedly losing control, leaving passengers trapped and injured. Among the injured are the bride and groom, along with several other guests.
Rescue teams and residents rushed to the scene following the incident and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals in Shikarpur and Jacobabad for medical treatment. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
According to the police, the accident occurred due to overspending. The bus’s tie rod reportedly broke, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle, which then veered off the road and fell into a ditch.
Immediately after the accident, chaos spread in the area. Residents and rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene and shifted the injured to hospitals in Shikarpur and Jacobabad.
The wedding party bus was travelling from Shahrao Wasta Muhammad in Balochistan to Mirpur Barro village in Jacobabad when the accident took place on the Mian Jo Goth Link Road.
The deceased have been identified as Huzoor Bakhsh Chino, Nabi Bakhsh Chino, Mureed Chino, and a child. Several injured, including Habibullah, are under treatment. Some of the injured are reported to be in critical condition, raising fears that the death toll may increase further.
