Maryam Nawaz warns against crossing red line at Wahga border ceremony

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on Sunday that Pakistan’s armed forces strongly stopped any attempt to cross the country’s “red line.”

She spoke at a ceremony held at Wagah Border to mark one year of Marka-e-Haq.

She said the world now recognises Pakistan’s strength and noted that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts helped prevent a wider global conflict.

Maryam Nawaz said Pakistan will make no compromise on national security. She added that the nation stands united like “Bunyan-un-Marsoos” to defend the country.

She paid tribute to the martyrs and praised their families. She said the sacrifices of the fallen soldiers are a source of national pride.

The chief minister also congratulated the nation on completing one year of Marka-e-Haq and said peace and security remain Pakistan’s top priorities.

She praised the leadership of Army Chief Asim Munir and said the armed forces gave a strong response to India during the conflict.

A large number of people attended the ceremony and expressed patriotic spirit with slogans and enthusiasm throughout the event.
