The federal minister of Information and Broadcasting, Atta Tarar, has spoken in favour of journalists from Suno TV. According to the details, the channel has to pay the dues of some employees.

The federal minister, in a viral video, said that Suno TV will not be able to get ads anymore until the channel clears the dues of all employees.

Atta Tarar also requested the provincial governments, including Sindh, Punjab, KP and Balochistan, to stop the ads of Suno TV on the provincial level as well.

The federal minister also warned the channel owner to solve the issue of employees, otherwise the channel will not be able to get a single ad. The owner of the Suno TV is a property Tycoon from Lahore.

Suno TV fires 170 employees

Earlier, Suno TV fired 170 employees without any notice. At the same time, the fired workers claimed that the channel fired them without paying their April salaries.

The Blue Group of Companies launched the Suno TV. The owner of the Blue Group of Companies is Saad Nazir; he is also the chairman of the Blue World housing project in the federal capital.

Affected employees

It is important to mention that the channel fired employees from different departments, including technical, editorial and support departments.
