Here are the latest prices of sacrificial animals at Lahore cattle market, as their demand has increased ahead of Eid-ul-Azha 2026.
The prices of the animals have risen sharply in Lahore’s cattle market.
The traders have reasoned the hike to higher transportation expenses, feed, and livestock costs.
The sacrificial animals are being sold at the following prices currently at Lahore cattle market:
- Small goats are being sold between Rs90,000 and Rs120,000
- Medium-sized goats and sheep are priced around Rs150,000
- On the other hand, the large-sized goats are being sold between Rs300,000 and Rs400,000
- The cattle and bulls are sold at a price starting from Rs250,000 at the Lahore cattle market
- The animals with higher quality and better appearance have been placed in the range between Rs300,000 and Rs500,000
According to the media reports, the residents have started buying the animals from the cattle market.
The locals were surprised after listening to the prices of the sacrificial animals.
The residents are comparing the prices of the animals by visiting different cattle markets within the city.

Lahore traffic police launches crackdown against underage driving
Traffic police, on Sunday, initiated a citywide operation in Lahore targeting underage and unlicensed drivers, declaring that strict measures would be enforced against those who violate traffic laws.
Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi stated that vehicles and motorcycles operated by underage drivers would be confiscated and transported to police stations, in addition to the issuance of fines.
He mentioned that drivers of cars with learner permits or expired licenses in Lahore would face a penalty of Rs. 5,000, while motorcycle operators would be subject to a fine of Rs. 2,000 for similar violations.
Furthermore, action would also be taken against the practice of triple riding.
The CTO mentioned that commercial vehicles cannot be operated with a car or motorcycle license, indicating that a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) license is now required for buses, wagons, and other forms of public transport.
Drivers of trucks, trailers, and other heavy vehicles must hold a Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) license, he added.
