Former Pakistan cricket captains Wasim Akram and Misbah-ul-Haq have departed for Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj. They are accompanied by their close friend and TV host Fakhar-e-Alam.
Fans and well-wishers across social media expressed prayers and warm wishes for the cricket stars as they embarked on one of the holiest and most spiritually significant journeys in Islam.
The trio chose to travel privately and quietly. Photos circulating online showed them at the airport dressed in Ihram before their departure.
Wasim Akram is one of the greatest fast bowlers in cricket history. This pilgrimage represents a deeply personal and spiritual chapter away from his busy life in sports commentary and public engagements.
Moreover, Misbah-ul-Haq, known for his disciplined leadership during his cricket career, was also warmly appreciated by fans. Many social media users said that his participation in the pilgrimage reflects the thoughtful and grounded personality he displayed both on and off the cricket field.
Additionally, Fakhar-e-Alam is known for his successful career in music, television, and international hosting also joined the two cricket legends in what many fans described as a touching and inspiring gathering.

Religious scholars often describe Hajj as a life-changing journey and spiritual renewal for Muslims who are financially and physically capable of performing it.
Although the trio is expected to remain away from media appearances during their stay in Saudi Arabia, their departure has already become a widely discussed moment across Pakistan’s sports and entertainment communities.
