KP CNG stations resume operations from today

CNG stations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have been reopened from today, according to an announcement made by the Governor of KP at a news conference in Islamabad.

He said that an uninterrupted gas supply to CNG stations will be provided daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Federal govt orders removal of all barriers in wheat supply to KP

The federal government has ordered the immediate removal of all hurdles affecting the transport and supply of wheat and flour to KP.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry of National Food Security said that concerned authorities have been directed to make sure of smooth movement of wheat and flour shipments and to avoid any disruption in the supply chain.

The ministry has also introduced a dedicated WhatsApp helpline so that citizens, transporters, and businesses can report complaints or issues related to delivery.

Officials also said that the step is expected to improve coordination between federal and provincial departments and address delays in the supply of essential food items.

The ministry also urged people to report any cases of obstruction, hoarding, or interference in the transport of wheat and flour.

Early salary payment ahead of Eid ul Azha

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to release salaries to government employees before Eid ul Azha.

According to reports, the provincial government has directed authorities to begin salary disbursement from May 20 in order to facilitate employees ahead of Eid celebrations.

The Finance Adviser said the decision to release salaries in advance was taken to provide relief to government workers before the religious holiday.
