Huawei has launched its new ‘MatePad Pro Max’ tablet globally today.
Huawei, at its “Now Is Your Spark” launch event in Bangkok, unveiled one of its new tablet series.
The company says the MatePad Pro Max is the world’s thinnest and lightest tablet in the 13-inch-plus category.
Measuring 4.7mm thick and weighing 499 grams, the device is slimmer than the Apple iPad Pro with a 10,400mAh battery.
The tablet features a 13.2-inch flexible OLED display with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels.
It supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.
Huawei has also introduced a PaperMatte Edition, which uses a nano-etched anti-glare screen designed to reduce reflections and provide a paper-like writing experience.
The MatePad Pro Max consists of 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
Huawei says the processor delivers a 20% performance improvement over the previous generation.

The company attributes the device’s slim design to its Cloud Falcon Architecture, which rearranges internal components to maximise space efficiency while maintaining battery capacity.
The tablet also supports 66W fast charging and 40W reverse wired charging.
To manage heat during intensive tasks, Huawei has equipped the device with a dual-layer vapour chamber cooling system, which it says offers a significantly larger heat dissipation area than earlier models.
The MatePad Pro Max runs HarmonyOS 4.3 and includes productivity features such as multi-window multitasking, AI-powered WPS Office integration and support for Huawei’s Glide keyboard accessory.
A six-speaker audio system and four microphones are also included for video conferencing and content creation.
Huawei said the device had received TUV Rheinland Ultra-Thin Bending Resistance Certification and offers improved structural durability compared with its predecessor.
The MatePad Pro Max will be available in Shimmery Blue and Space Grey colour options.
Huawei has positioned the tablet as a device aimed at professionals and students seeking a lightweight alternative to a laptop.
