Shehbaz Sharif reaches Beijing

Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Beijing after completing his official visit to Hangzhou.

According to details, he reached Beijing today after finishing his engagements in Hangzhou, located in China’s Zhejiang province.

At Beijing Capital International Airport, China’s Minister for Ecology and Environment, Huang Runqiu, welcomed him.

In Hangzhou, the prime minister chaired the opening session of the third Pakistan–China B2B Investment Conference. The session focused on charging infrastructure, battery storage, solar energy, and pharmaceutical sectors.

He also met the leadership of Zhejiang province and representatives of major Chinese companies, including Star Charge, CATL, and Zhejiang Pharmaceutical. Both sides discussed steps to boost investment and industrial cooperation.

Shehbaz Sharif also visited the Alibaba headquarters, where Executive Chairman Joe Tsai received him.

During his stay in Beijing, the prime minister will meet Xi Jinping, Li Qiang, and other senior officials. They will discuss ways to strengthen the all-weather strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.

The visit also aims to boost cooperation under the second phase of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), especially in trade, investment, industry, agriculture, science and technology, and people-to-people exchanges.
