The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has warned the overseas Pakistanis about the fake consulate services claimed to be provided to Pakistani nationals located in foreign countries.
NADRA has advised overseas Pakistanis to use only its official platforms for identity document services, warning that no private agents, consultants, or third-party companies are authorised to act on its behalf.
In a public advisory, the authority said it does not permit any individual or organisation, either in Pakistan or abroad, to accept applications, collect payments, or process identity documents for citizens.
The warning is aimed particularly at Pakistanis living overseas, many of whom rely on intermediaries to handle documentation and identity card applications.
NADRA said applicants should submit requests directly through its official digital services, including the Pak Identity portal and mobile application.
These platforms allow users to apply for documents such as CNICs and NICOPs online.

The authority said the advisory follows repeated cases of fraudulent websites and social media pages presenting themselves as NADRA representatives or partners.
According to officials, some of these platforms have falsely offered identity card services and even advertised employment opportunities while claiming links to NADRA.
The authority says such websites have no official connection to it.
NADRA warned that using unauthorised services could expose applicants to identity theft, financial fraud, and misuse of personal information.
Officials said some cases have already been referred to relevant cybercrime authorities for investigation.
The authority reiterated that overseas Pakistanis should use only official NADRA channels or visit designated NADRA counters located at Pakistani embassies and consulates abroad.
It also encouraged citizens to verify information through official websites, helplines, and customer support services rather than relying on social media advertisements or third-party claims.
NADRA said assistance regarding applications, documentation requirements, and complaints remains available through its customer support channels without the need for any intermediary.
