PCB level one coaching course concludes in Karachi with 30 participants

The Pakistan Cricket Board Level One Coaching Course has concluded in Karachi, with 30 candidates participating in the four-day programme.

Former Pakistan international women’s cricketer Nahida Bibi from Quetta was also among the participants.

The course was conducted under the supervision of PCB Head of Education Shahid Aslam at the Hanif Mohammad Regional Cricket Academy, National Stadium Karachi. With the assistance of former Test cricketer Azam Khan, the programme focused on modern coaching methods, techniques, and strategies.

Key lectures were delivered by Saqib Faqir, Iqbal Imam, Zafar Chaudhry, and Hussain Khosa. Earlier, PCB Level One Coaching Courses were also held in Peshawar, Rawalpindi, and Multan.

PCB starts search of batting coach

On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board has begun the search for a batting coach for the national team and has issued an official advertisement in this regard.

According to the advertisement, candidates must hold at least a Level Two coaching certification and have a minimum of five years of coaching experience. Applicants are also required to be well-versed in modern batting techniques, game analysis, and player development.

In addition, knowledge of systems used to evaluate and improve player performance according to international standards has been made mandatory. The PCB has also listed strong management skills, effective communication abilities, and computer literacy as essential requirements.

According to sources, the position will be for Pakistan’s white-ball team. Coach Hanif Malik’s tenure is expected to end after the ODI series against Australia. Applications for the post can be submitted until 5:00 PM on June 7.
