Victoria University of Wellington has announced applications for its Wellington Doctoral Scholarship Program 2026.
The scholarship is fully funded. It is open to both international and local students.
The scholarship covers full tuition fees. Selected students will also receive a yearly living stipend of NZD 32,000 for up to three years.
This support will help students focus on their research without financial stress.
Who can apply
Students from more than 160 countries can apply for the scholarship. Applicants need to have a strong academic record and good skills in research.
Graduates from recognised universities in New Zealand and other countries can also apply.
Students who are applying for a PhD program or those who have already started doctoral studies at Victoria University of Wellington can also apply.
How to apply
In many cases, applicants may not even need to submit an English language test score. This also depends on the applicant’s previous education and their academic background.

Taiwan AID announces fully funded NGO fellowship program 2026
The Taiwan Alliance in International Development (Taiwan AID) has announced its fully funded NGO Fellowship Program 2026, according to reports today.
The program offers a four week professional experience in Taiwan focused on development work, networking, and in NGO engagement.
The program will run from 4 October to 1 November 2026. It invites participants from Asia and the Pacific.
The fellows who have been selected will work with Taiwanese NGOs and take part in workshops, field visits, and group sessions.
