Great Wall Motors (GWM) plans to introduce the Cannon Alpha plug-in hybrid pickup truck in Pakistan in June 2026, as reported by Arif Habib Limited’s (AHL) Upcoming Automobile Launch Tracker.
The Cannon Alpha is one of several electrified vehicles set to arrive in the Pakistani market this year, as manufacturers expand their hybrid and electric vehicle offerings.
According to international specifications, the GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV features a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with an electric motor and battery system.
This hybrid powertrain generates up to 300 kW of total power and 750 Nm of torque, with power transmitted through a 9-speed hybrid automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system.
A key feature of this pickup is its ability to drive solely on electric power.
Global specifications suggest that it can achieve up to 115 kilometers of electric-only driving range and a total combined range exceeding 1,000 kilometers. Additionally, the pickup supports DC fast charging.
The Cannon Alpha is crafted as a luxury lifestyle pickup, boasting a large screen, a digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone connectivity, a panoramic sunroof, and powered front seats in higher-end international variants.
GWM has yet to officially disclose local pricing, booking information, or variant specifications for Pakistan.
Nonetheless, due to its premium status, advanced hybrid technology, and comprehensive feature set, the Cannon Alpha is expected to rival high-end pickup trucks currently on the market.
Official pricing and booking details are expected to be announced as the launch date approaches.
