Is GWM Tank 300 coming to Pakistan?

Great Wall Motor Company Limited (GWM) has reportedly announced to launch the GWM Tank 300 in Pakistan.

It is expected that the company could introduce the GWM Tank 300 in Pakistan during 2026, although there has been no official confirmation so far.

Pakistan’s SUV market has grown in recent years, but most options fall into the crossover category.

These vehicles are designed mainly for urban use, with higher ground clearance and modern features, but limited off-road capability.

 A locally available, factory-backed alternative could appeal to those looking for a newer vehicle with warranty and support.

If launched, the GWM Tank 300 would likely sit below the larger GWM Tank 500, which has already been introduced in some markets.

This would place it in a mid-size category, aimed at buyers seeking off-road ability without moving into the higher price range of full-size SUVs.

It may also be compared with models such as the BAIC BJ40, as well as hybrid crossovers like the Haval H6 HEV, although the design and purpose differ.

Based on international specifications, the vehicle is expected to come with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

It produces around 217 horsepower and 387 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The vehicle also features a four-wheel-drive system with a low-range gearbox, which is typically used for off-road driving.

The GWM Tank 300 is designed with off-road use in mind.

Expected features include front and rear differential locks, multiple terrain modes for different surfaces, and ground clearance of around 224 millimetres.

These elements place it closer to traditional off-road vehicles than standard crossovers, which are usually built for paved roads.
