The district administration of Naran has advised tourists, travellers, and transport operators to avoid unnecessary travel to Babusar Top due to ongoing snowfall in the region.
According to a travel advisory issued by the district administration, continuous snowfall has made road conditions hazardous and severely disrupted traffic movement.
In an official statement released through government-run media channels, authorities warned that the prevailing weather conditions could create serious difficulties for travellers.
The administration urged all visitors planning to travel to Babusar Top to check the latest weather updates before setting out, as conditions in the area can change rapidly.
Officials said that the accumulation of snow has significantly affected traffic flow on the Babusar Top route and surrounding areas, with one-way traffic being allowed at certain locations.
The administration further cautioned that travelling on the highway after 6:00 pm is particularly dangerous, as snowfall tends to intensify and visibility drops considerably during the evening hours.
The advisory highlighted several potential risks for motorists, including slippery roads, possible brake failures, glacial activity, falling rocks and landslides, all of which pose serious threats to life and property.
The district administration has appealed to tourists, transport operators and the general public to refrain from non-essential travel until further notice and to strictly follow instructions issued by local authorities and law enforcement agencies.
