A tragic incident occurred in the Alpuri tehsil of Shangla district, where the roof of a mud-built house collapsed. It resulted in the deaths of six children from the same family, while leaving one young girl critically injured.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, the heartbreaking incident took place on Tuesday morning in the Rahim Abad Basi area. The roof of the house suddenly collapsed while several children were inside, causing seven children to become trapped beneath the debris.

As soon as the incident was reported, Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene and an immediate rescue operation was launched.

Emergency workers worked tirelessly to help the trapped children stuck under the rubble. All seven children were recovered from under the collapsed structure within the duration of an hour.

Unfortunately, six of them could not survive their injuries and were pronounced dead.

Rescue authorities stated that all of the children were asleep inside the house when the roof collapsed. The victims were identified as 14-year-old Nazira Bibi, 13-year-old Samira Bibi, 12-year-old Umaira, 7-year-old Nayab, 5-year-old Rizwanullah, and 5-year-old Haya Noor.

Their sudden deaths have left the family and local community devastated.

The only survivor, Marwa 11 years old, sustained serious injuries in the collapse.

She was immediately shifted to a medical facility in critical condition for treatment. Her condition remains a source of concern for both family members and medical staff.

Residents, community members, and local administration officials in the area expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the children and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

Many people gathered to support the affected family during this difficult time.

The incident has once again highlighted the dangers associated with weak structures, particularly during changing weather conditions and in rural areas where many families continue to live in vulnerable housing.

However, such tragedies often happen.

Previously, a similar roof collapse incident occurred in the Prang Majoki area of Charsadda district, where three children lost their lives while a husband and wife suffered severe injuries.

Overall, the latest disaster in Shangla has renewed concerns about housing safety and the urgent need for stronger construction to prevent similar tragedies and protect vulnerable families from such incidents in the future.
