Road accident near Chilas claims lives of seven tourists
Before this, on June 1, as many as seven tourists lost their lives in a road accident near the Chilas area of the Diamer district.

The accident took place on the route to the popular tourist destination of Fairy Meadows in the Diamer district, according to the reports.
The vehicle fell into a deep ravine. The impact killed all seven people on the spot, according to the reports.
The victims included six tourists, four of whom were reportedly from Punjab and two from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to initial reports, two of the deceased tourists were identified as Sajjad and Ali.
Additionally, efforts are underway to identify the remaining victims. Authorities have also launched an investigation to figure out the cause of the accident.
The local administration also directed the relevant departments to provide all possible assistance.
Tourists stranded, roads blocked after heavy snowfall in Chaman
Previously, in January 2026, hundreds of tourists were left stranded after the first snowfall of the winter season blocked roads in Chaman and other parts of northern Balochistan.
